Using a custom cover photo in lead forms

Updated Jul 7, 20261 min read

When you create a lead form in Mark, you can either keep the ad default image (the form simply shows the image of the ad it runs with) or pick a custom cover photo. Custom cover photos can only come from photos that are already uploaded to your Facebook Page.

Why only Page photos

Meta requires lead form cover photos to be photos that exist on the Facebook Page the form belongs to. Images from your ad account library and Instagram posts do not qualify. This is a Meta rule, not a Mark limitation.

How to upload a new image to your Page

  1. Open Facebook and switch into your business Page, or open Meta Business Suite.
  2. Upload the image to your Page: publish a post that includes it, or add it through the Page's Photos tab with Add photos.
  3. Back in Mark, open the lead form, choose Load from Page photos, and select your image.

Tips

  • Use a wide, landscape image of roughly 1200 x 628 pixels. The cover area is a horizontal banner, so square or vertical images get cropped.
  • Instagram posts do not appear in the picker. If your image only lives on Instagram, save it and upload it to your Facebook Page as described above.
  • If you prefer not to manage Page photos at all, the ad default image is always a safe choice and requires no setup.
