Why did my Meta connection expire?

Updated Jul 5, 20261 min read

Meta access is granted through a token that can expire or be revoked. When it lapses, Mark loses access and prompts you to reconnect.

Common reasons

  • The access token expired after a period of time, which is normal for Meta.
  • You changed your Facebook password or your security settings.
  • Access was revoked in your Facebook settings, perhaps during a review of connected apps.
  • Your permissions or roles on the ad account changed.

How to restore it

Reconnecting is quick. Open Integrations, click Connect with Facebook, and re-approve. Your data and campaigns are untouched, since only Mark's access needed refreshing.

Reducing repeat expirations

If your connection drops often, make sure you always reconnect with the same admin profile, and avoid revoking access to Mark in your Facebook settings. Consistent, admin-level access is what keeps the connection stable.
