Why does my new ad account have a low spending limit?

Updated Jul 5, 20261 min read

Meta puts a spending limit on new ad accounts to control risk. Until your account builds a track record of successful payments and approved ads, Meta caps how much you can spend per day, and may send more of your ads to manual review.

This is normal

Every new advertiser goes through this. It is not specific to Mark, and it is not a sign that anything is wrong. The limit is set by Meta on your account.

How limits lift

Limits rise gradually as you keep running ads and paying on time. A few things help:

  • Keep budgets reasonable at first, rather than jumping to a very high daily spend.
  • Make sure your payment method on Meta is valid and up to date.
  • Avoid policy issues, since rejections and flags slow down the trust-building process.

Over a few weeks of consistent, clean activity, the limit usually rises on its own.
