My ad was rejected, what do I do?

Updated Jul 5, 20261 min read

If an ad does not meet Meta's advertising policies, Meta rejects it and it will not run. This is a Meta decision, and the review is done on Meta's side.

Common reasons

Ads are often rejected for misleading or clickbait claims, restricted or prohibited content, too much text baked into the image, or problems with the landing page the ad points to. Meta usually states the specific reason on the rejected ad.

How to fix it

  1. Read Meta's stated reason on the rejected ad.
  2. Ask Mark to adjust the creative or copy to comply, for example "rewrite this ad to avoid the rejection reason." Mark can rebuild the image and text.
  3. Resubmit the ad. If you believe the rejection was a mistake, you can request another review from Meta.

Mark can rework the creative as many times as you need, but the final approval decision always rests with Meta.
