Edit budgets, schedules, and status
Updated Jul 5, 20261 min read
You can adjust live or paused campaigns at any time, either from Manage Ads or by asking Mark in chat. Changes take effect after you approve them, and nothing is ever deleted in the process.
Common edits
- Budget. Raise or lower a daily or lifetime budget as your results come in.
- Schedule. Change start and end dates, or extend a campaign that is performing well.
- Status. Turn campaigns, ad sets, and ads on or off.
- Name. Rename anything for clarity, which makes reporting easier to read later.
Two ways to do it
- In chat. Describe the change in plain language, such as "lower my summer ad set to 10 a day and end it Friday." Mark shows the change and applies it after you approve.
- In Manage Ads. Edit values inline and save.
A note on live edits
Changing budget or audience on a running ad set can briefly return it to Meta's learning phase while delivery re-optimizes. This is normal, and performance usually settles again after a short period.
One thing you cannot change after creation is a campaign's objective, which is a Meta rule. To switch objective, create a new campaign, and Mark can reuse your audience and creative so you are not starting over.
